Prop Guidelines
None of the following are permitted to be carried on university grounds:

40. WEAPONS – Unauthorized possession of firearms, explosives, other weapons, or dangerous chemicals on University premises.” -UB 2018-2019 Student Code of Conduct
- Sharp Metal
- Anything capable of cutting through any sort of material
- Real Knives
- Real Swords or Katanas
- Firearms
- Anything that is capable of shooting projectiles (foam dart blasters excluded)
- Airsoft firearms
- Bows/Arrows
- Bows that have a string which can be drawn (unstrung bows or very loosely strung bows are fine)
- Arrows which are sharp and can pierce through any material (blunt/fake arrows are fine)
- Realistic Prop Firearms
- Any prop firearm that can be mistaken for a real firearm cannot be permitted, regardless of whether it can fire or not.
- All prop firearms must have an orange tip, even it it’s obvious they’re fake.
- Heavy Melee Weapons
- Hammers: not permitted if they are made of a hard/heavy material. If they are made of cardboard or stuffed, they’re fine.
- No metal bats.
